In 2013 we developed our first Hi-Gain distortion pedal (the Mean Street MS2), with a really unexpected success then. Based on that same powerful and acclaimed distortion, we developed the Mean Street MS3, and made it more flexible and versatile. Taking into account the different scenarios in which the Mean Street could be used, we thought about what we could improve to get the ideal sound in any situation, and after countless hours of work redesigning the circuit, we got the perfect distortion. By using a 3-band active EQ instead of a simple tone control, we made the MS3 perfectly suited to any style, from a heavy, hollowed-out heavy, to the most mid-rangey, harmonically rich rock. We added a switch to invert the order of the effects, so that in addition to using the booster for a classic purpose, you can further abuse the compression and saturation of the distortion. Last but not least, thanks to a careful selection of components, the new saturation stage is more articulate and aggressive than ever! All these new features, added to the classic characteristics of the MS2, make the Mean Street MS3 the perfect pedal to go out and rock any stage.
