Inspired by the sound of the great masters of classic rock and blues, we created the Scuttle Buttin' SB1, an overdrive with a smooth and pleasing saturation. The carefully balanced combination of original and saturated signal preserves the original dynamics that are normally lost in the saturation stage. This gives your sound more transparency and response, preventing the signal from becoming cluttered. We modified the design by increasing the gain to make the pedal more versatile and the bass to get a fuller sound. The way it filters the signal, coupled with the natural sound of its saturation stage, means that with a simple stomp you can find that classic sound. The Scuttle Buttin' is ideal for use with tube amps. It takes all the juice out of the tubes and makes them saturate in a natural and harmonic way, and the way it's EQ'd makes the sound of the guitar not get lost among the rest of the instruments, and it always sounds articulate.
