King Overdrive

OVERDRIVE

Description

Beyond the classic Volume, Tone and Gain controls, the pedal has an internal preset to control the final Presence level. It also has 3 switches (on each side) that make each effect have different types of grain. ‍ MODE 1 - Soft clipping. A smoother and more rounded clipping of the signal, making the channel have a creamier sound, maintaining the dynamics and feel in touch. MODE 2 - Hard clipping. A more abrupt clipping of the signal to make the channel sound more similar to a Distortion. MODE 3 - Boost. Completely raise the diodes, leaving the pedal without elements that distort the signal. In this mode, the pedal transforms into a Clean Boost. If we use low gain, it is completely crystal clear. If we start to increase the gain, the pedal begins to break more and more, until it begins to distort the JRC4580 chip itself, entering OPAMP clipping. The last switch on each side changes the range of the pedal's gain knob. HIGH GAIN or LOW GAIN. In this way, we have a pedal where each channel can be used as Overdrive, Distortion or Boost.
