NUX Scream Bass Overdrive pedal produces a warm and strong overdrive and it's a great option for the bass player who wants more control and versatility in their gear. It has 4 basic control knobs to dial up your tone by using Level, Drive and 2-band EQ (Low, High). And there is one additional Blend knob to control overall effect amount on dry signal. You definitely can use a guitar pedal to distort your bass, but it just generally won't sound very good. Guitar specific gears, pedals and amps aren't designed to handle the low-end frequencies you get from a bass guitar.
