Zum 20-jährigen Jubiläum des originalen BJFe Honey Bee Overdrive hat Bjorn Juhl nun den Sound seines klassischen Low-Gain-Overdrives auf die One Control Mini-Pedalplattform gebracht, die sowohl die klassische, warme, sirupartige Honey Bee-Textur mit Modern/Vintage-Schalter als auch eine spezielle neue Custom-Version mit erhöhtem Gain und einem heißen Crimson-Finish bietet. Tonal bringt diese CUSTOM Version zusätzlichen Gain und Push im Low-Mid-Spektrum mit einem fetteren Sound. Diese Version hat auch den VINTAGE/MODERN-Schalter, so dass man sowohl den originalen Honey Bee mit hohem Gain als auch den modernen Honey-Bee mit hohem Gain bekommt. Das Honey Bee Overdrive wurde vom Klang alter Supro-Verstärker inspiriert und ist vor allem für den warmen Overdrive Crunch bekannt, der sich flexibel kontrollieren lässt. Im Laufe der Jahre wurde das Pedal mehrmals überarbeitet, dabei ist die Version von One Control wahrscheinlich die Beste, da sie alle Verbesserungen der letzten Jahre beinhaltet. Zwei schaltbare Modi bestimmen den Klangcharakter des Pedals: Der Vintage-Modus (Original-Sound des Honey Bee OD) bietet einen milden, klassischen Overdrive mit einem einzigartigen Ansprechverhalten in den Höhen. Der Modern Mode ist der Sound des aktuellen Honey Bee OD und enthält alle vorherigen Revisionen. Im Vergleich zum Vintage-Modus erhält man hier insbesondere im Low-End mehr Gain. Zusätzlich verfügt diese Version über getrennte Regler für Tiefen und Höhen. Natürlich kann der Honey Bee OD auch von Bassisten verwendet werden.

Tonally, this version will bring you additional gain and push in the low-mid spectrum with a thicker tone. This version also has the VINTAGE/MODERN switch, so you get both original Honey Bee with high gain and modern Honey Bee with high gain. The Honey Bee Overdrive is known for it's warm overdrive crunch which is easily adjustable by a twist of a knob. Over the years, there have been several revisions of this sought-after pedal and the One Control model is the best version yet, as it contains all the revisions and improvements from previous models. Two switchable modes set the general sound of the pedal: Vintage Mode (original sounding Honey Bee OD) provides a mild and classic overdrive tone with an unique high frequency response. Modern Mode is the sound of the current Honey Bee OD and includes all previous revisions. Compared to the Vintage mode, you'll notice increased gain, especially in the low ends. In addition, this version has separate controls for bass and treble. Of course, the Honey Bee OD can also be used by bassists.

Heutzutage nutzen viele Musiker auch elektronische Geräte wie Tablets oder Smartphones für ihre Auftritte. Was haben diese Geräte gemeinsam? Sie müssen über USB geladen werden! Mit dem USB Porter kann man USB Geräte direkt vom Pedalboard aus aufladen: Zwei USB-Ausgänge bieten 2000 mA, zwei weitere Ausgänge bieten bis zu 500 mA und eignen sich perfekt für die praktischen LED Lights, die im Lieferumfang enthalten sind, oder kleinere Geräte.

Beinahe jeder Effektpedal-Hersteller bietet inzwischen seine eigene Version einer klassischen Screamer-Schaltung an, dabei sind sich die meisten Pedale eigentlich sehr ähnlich. One Control geht mit dem Persian Green Screamer (PSG) einen anderen Weg und nutzt ein Dual Op-Amp Design und symmetrisches Dioden-Clipping zur Verbesserung des bekannten TS-Designs. TS-Style Pedale sind allgemein dafür bekannt extrem flexibel zu sein und durch kleinste Veränderungen unzählige kreative Möglichkeiten zu bieten - der Persian Green Screamer folgt diesem Ansatz und kombiniert eine typische TS-Schaltung mit einer Eigenentwicklung von Bjorn Juhl. Über den Vintage/Modern-Schalter lassen sich so zwei grundlegend unterschiedliche Voicings auswählen: Der Vintage-Modus erzeugt eine wunderschöne cremige, warme Verzerrung, die einzigartig und dem legendären TS-808 sehr ähnlich ist. Der Dynamik-Bereich ist nicht zu weit gefasst und die Mitten werden entsprechend betont. Der klassische TS-Sound wird oft als 'nasal' beschrieben, das fortschrittliche Schaltungs-Design von One Control schafft im Gegensatz ein schönes Gleichgewicht. Der Vintage-Modus kann mit Single Coil oder P-90 Tonabnehmern einen perfekten Vintage-Sound erzeugen. Der Modern-Mode erzeugt einen "transparenten", extrem klaren Overdrive, der dem Sound Leben einhaucht, ohne ihn drastisch zu verändern. Das Pedal kann auch wie ein Vorverstärker, ein Booster oder ein Kompressor verwendet werden, dabei reagiert der Persian Green Screamer dynamisch auf die Pick Attack und den Volume Regler der Gitarre. Im Modern-Mode lässt sich das Voicing über den Tone-Regler verändern, im Vintage-Mode ist der Regler ohne Funktion. Die Regelmöglichkeiten des Tone-Reglers sind bewusst begrenzt, um geringfügige und spezifische Änderungen am Sound zu ermöglichen. Der Persian Green Screamer kann mit 18V DC betrieben werden, um den Headroom zu vergrößern und einen noch dynamischeren Sound zu ermöglichen.

Nearly all effect builders have produced a screamer circuit, yet they are all very similar. However, the One Control Persian Green Screamer (PSG) is extremely different. By incorporating a dual Op Amp and symmetrical diode clipping, the pedal has become the new standard for TS-style pedals. Tube Screamer circuitry is renowned for its flexibility due to its endless creative options by adjusting a few variables. The Persian Green Screamer aims to attain the ultimate tube screamer sound by combining a typical TS circuit with one of Bjorn Juhl's own designs. The Persian Green Screamer is a pedal that creates a vintage TS sound and a modern overdrive sound pedal at the same time. A switch has been added to the side of the body for exactly this reason. You can switch between two modes, Vintage and Modern. The Vintage mode creates beautiful distortion that is unique and similar to the legendary TS-808. It is a creamy, warm solid tone. Its dynamic range is not too broad and the mid-range is emphasized. The classic TS effect was described sometimes as 'nasal', yet One Control was able to attain a perfect balance through advanced circuitry design. Vintage mode can create a perfect vintage sound with single coil or P-90 pickups. The Modern mode allows for a 'transparent' overdrive for a perfectly clean boost. It gives life to the guitar and amp sound without changing it drastically. The overdrive can be used like a preamp or a compressor as well. You can change the gain easily by adjusting the Volume knob or by changing your picking strength. It has a wide-range and high response. You can leave it on throughout your performance in order to give a thickness to your guitar tone. In Modern mode, you can adjust the Tone setting whereas in Vintage mode, you cannot. You can also use the pedal as a booster if needed. Simply set Drive to minium and Level to maximum. The Tone knob adjustments are limited to allow minor and specific changes to your rich and subtle sound. The Persian Green Screamer can be powered with 18V DC to increase the headroom and to allow even richer expression while reducing the gain slightly. It is an effective way to add variations to tones.

Das One Control Cranberry OverDrive ist eine Low-Gain Version des Strawberry Red OD. Neben einem verbesserten Regelbereich speziell für Sounds mit weniger Gain wurde das Voicing des Pedals gradliniger gestaltet. Das Cranberry OD eignet sich perfekt für cleane oder leicht übersteuerte Sounds und ist mit einer moderaten Kompression und einer schnellen Ansprache ein toller Lead Boost für jedes Genre.

It is safe to say that the Strawberry Red Overdrive is one of the bestselling BJF Series effects pedals. For this reason, Bjorn Juhl and One Control decided to expand on this models success with two other models: The Cranberry and Lingonberry. The One Control Cranberry OverDrive is a lower gain version of the Strawberry Red OD. In addition to having optimized control over lower gain sounds, the filtering has been altered to allow a flatter sound with more lows and highs. The Cranberry OD is perfect for clean or light distortion effects and with moderate compression and fast response, this pedal promises a superb lead boost for any genre of music.

CRANBERRY OVER DRIVE

Das One Control Stone Bramble Overdrive ist ein weiteres Overdrive Pedal, das vom ursprünglichen und erfolgreichen Strawberry Red Overdrive von One Control abgeleitet wurde. Das Stone Bramble erweitert das ursprüngliche Design um etwas mehr Glanz und Schimmer sowie eine schaltbare Mid-Boost-Funktion, die die oberen Mitten genau richtig betonen kann. Ohne den Mid-Boost erzeugt das Pedal einen 'schneidenderen' und 'kantigeren' Overdrive-Sound.

The One Control Stone Bramble Overdrive is another 'flavor' that has descended from the original and successful Strawberry Red Overdrive pedal from One Control. The Stone Bramble extends the original design with a little bit more sparkle and shimmer and a switchable mid-boost function that can accentuate the upper mids in just the right way. Without the mid-boost, the pedal creates a more cutting and 'edgy' overdrive tone.
